Oil Pastel Crayons on a white paper

Introduction

Throughout the entire year, the Pre-School children have M.O.L.E.s sessions, held in the woodland area of our playing fields.

Come rain or shine, we go to the woods. This can be the most popular part of their time at Pre-School for many children and we often find that the quieter children find their confidence at ‘M.O.L.E.s’.

Children have the opportunity to get involved in all sorts of outdoor activities like:

  • Tree climbing
  • Den building
  • Hunting for mini-beasts
  • Making mud pies and mud sculptures
  • Using tools
  • Craft activities

The children come back tired and dirty but happy with stories of their adventures and pockets full of treasure they have found. New friendships are made and new skills developed.
